It’s Always Sunny at FOB Ghazni

Friends, families and interested parties,

I am the Platoon Leader for 1st Platoon, Bravo Battery, 4-25 Field Artillery; the Outlaws. We are a 25-man firing platoon deployed to Forward Operating Base Ghazni in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. The purpose of this blog is to serve as a link between the platoon and all those back home who are interested in our stay.

This platoon comes from many places with many backgrounds. However, every member has one thing in common; they volunteered. As volunteers they are here willingly and without reservation. Our mission is to provide indirect fire support to Task Force White Eagle, a Polish Army group responsible for this area of operations.

I will make every effort to update this blog as often as possible. My goal is for those supporters back home to get to know this platoon and the soldiers that make it run. For those interested in sending care packages of any sort, I will follow this post with our address line at FOB Ghazni as well as a list of basic items in short supply.

The Outlaws of 1st Platoon thank you for your continued support during our deployment.
